Within the scope of the WOVEN project, we proudly celebrated an inspiring and forward‑looking teacher training programme on the GreenComp Framework, held from 13 to 15 May 2026 at IES Jérica‑Viver (Spain).
This three‑day programme, led by expert speakers from CRESOL, MENTORTEC, and ARCES, brought together a diverse group of educators from Spain and Portugal. By combining in‑person participation with virtual attendance, the training not only broadened access but also embodied the project’s commitment to environmentally responsible and digitally enhanced learning pathways.
Throughout the sessions, participants immersed themselves in hands‑on group activities, explored practical strategies for embedding sustainability into VET curricula, and collaboratively designed lesson plans aligned with the GreenComp competences. These activities encouraged peer learning, creativity, and critical reflection on how to foster green skills in real classroom contexts.
Beyond the formal training, the programme also included cultural moments, informal exchanges, and sharing sessions that deepened collaboration among participants. These interactions helped build a strong sense of community and reinforced the collective mission of advancing sustainability within the VET sector.
A highlight of the programme was the technical visit to a local olive‑oil cooperative, where teachers gained first‑hand insights into sustainable agricultural practices, circular‑economy principles, and community‑driven environmental stewardship. This real‑world experience enriched the pedagogical discussions and strengthened the connection between theory and practice.
Overall, this teacher training represents a significant milestone in the WOVEN project. It reinforces our shared commitment to building greener, smarter, and more collaborative education, empowering teachers to become catalysts for a more sustainable future for all.
